1. Tell us a little bit about yourself?
A1. I grew up in Mississippi and Kentucky and I’m extremely grateful for the love and support of my family. Because of them I walk in the joy and determination I have today. I’ve been employed as a federal employee over fourteen years. My greatest achievement is being the mother of my only son.
Q2. What made you want to become a part of the From Pain to Purpose Women of Resilience Book Collaboration?
A2. Becoming a part of the Women of Resilience Book Collaboration was the push I felt from Pastor J and the Lord to get out of my comfort zone. It helped me to reflect where I’ve been and the fact that God is showing me that greater is ahead of me. This has been an extraordinary experience and I am thankful that my sisters and I have survived the stories we shared. Glory to God for the victory!
Q3. What is the premise of your story? And Why did you write it?
A3. The premise of my story is moving when God says move and trusting him to provide what you need when that involves relocating to an unfamiliar area. I wrote my story in appreciation to the person, Maxine Wilson and her family, who accepted me in their home as a stranger and allowed me to reside with them until I was able to get my own place. There is a quote that I love that applies to their kindness and generosity … “I am because we are and because we are ~ I AM. I know I wouldn’t be at this point of my destiny without their compassion over 20 years ago.
